The New York Excelsior just announced that Daekuk ‘Kuki’ Kim will be joining the NYXL for season 5 of the Overwatch League. Kuki was previously a main tank that played for both the Seoul Dynasty and the La Valiant. He turned coach for the contender’s team Runaway before moving into the Overwatch League. He has been the head coach for the Florida Mayhem for the last two seasons with varying success.
His ability to speak both English and Korea is a major benefit for the team. He will be joining the team with a major rebuild on the horizon with many new faces on the team for the upcoming season. The best of luck to Kuki in his new role as head coach for the NYXL
